ABSTRACT: AGRE is an open gene bank, a large collection of immortalized cell lines, DNA and frozen serum* samples derived from multiplex families consisting of typical parents, unaffected siblings and their well-characterized siblings affected with autism spectrum disorders. These samples and their corresponding phenotypic and genotypic data are available to the entire scientific community. The AGRE samples may be accessed by contacting AGRE at: 1-866-612-AGRE(2473). The AGRE phenotypic and genotypic databases may be accessed through the AGRE Web site.

The purpose of AGRE is to foster collaboration among researchers, increase the available sample size, provide an international mechanism to allow rapid replication of research results while avoiding overlap, and thus accelerate autism research aimed at discovering the causes, treatments and a cure for the autism spectrum disorders.

* Please Note: Serum samples are NOT available for every family in the AGRE repository. Please contact the Researcher Liaison for sample availability.
